Blackjack Betting Strategies: Valuable Secrets Given Away

When you are a newcomer to this card game you really must start by studying the basic strategy for Blackjack and also get a correct Blackjack strategy card, to keep next to you when gambling online.

There are many different techniques for Blackjack used by both professionals and amateurs across the world. Pick the two approaches you prefer from the wide variety out there and you may be able to significantly improve your performance. Of course you need to really know the rules of Blackjack first, but what betting strategies can you try?

Perhaps the most famous Blackjack strategy is the card counting technique, most casinos have banned this strategy. To use this method you must memorize which cards have been played, which allows you to have a better idea of the cards likely to appear. If you know what cards are left in the deck you can bet accordingly.

You will be hard pressed to find a casino that will permit you to keep track of cards which are no longer in play. However, if you’re skilled enough to be able to remember them, then see how far you can get before the casinos find out! If you are unable to memorize all the cards, why not apply the technique to a web based casino, by keeping track of the cards as they are played.

You need to make sure you are keenly aware of the rules of the game, as varieties exist that will affect the odds. For example, you may not have the option to split a hand when you get two of the same card as with two eights. Whether or not you can split can completely change whether or not you suffer a loss or get a great win.

The majority of casinos that you will visit, including those online, do not allow the dealer to go past 17. If this rule is not enforced, your chances are reduced. Being aware of the variations in rules is one way to making absolutely positive you have the best odds you can have.

But what about the betting itself – are there techniques you can use to help guide you on when and what to wager? You will find a large number of strategies for betting on Blackjack, and you look carefully at a number of them before deciding to adopt one. A couple of the most popular methods which you are likely to come across include the Martingale and Paroli systems.

Blackjack strategies have many commonalities, though we find little in common between Martingale and Paroli. If you lose a hand under Martingale, you bet double the amount on the next hand, you go back to your original wager when you win. You double the bet when you win under Paroli, when you lose, return to the original wager. The Paroli betting system is focused on trying to exploit winning streaks and the Martingale system is focused on breaking losing streaks. Neither system is perfect. If following Martingale you need a large bankroll. If you begin by betting $10 and then lose 7 hands in a row for a total loss of $1270  the system now dictates you bet $1280 on the eight hand! Paroli puts a much lesser stress on your bankroll. Beginning with $10  and loosing seven rounds back to back will only cost you $70.

An additional system is the Parlay system. It is not unlike Paroli but somewhat more conservative. On a Parlay bet, you increase the bet proportionally, if you win the hand, the next bet is the original amount along with a proportion of the winnings.

It is very important that you be able to accurately determine your odds when you are thinking about your bets, and a Blackjack calculator can make this much less stressful. The calculator will act as a record book of the cards dealt for you, and computes the likelihood of subsequent cards, comparing this to the cards in your hand. If you know this kind of information you can calculate your odds, and whether to hit or stand.

However, you can only use techniques based on calculators online. Keeping a scorecard or using a calculator would have you banned from a real casino game! You can certainly use betting strategies in any type of casino.
